Toy safety guide
Age guidance, supervision tips and how to keep playtime safe.
Toys bring joy — and a few simple habits keep playtime safe for your little ones.
Check the recommended age
Always read the recommended age on the packaging before buying or gifting a toy. Age guidance reflects choking hazards, complexity and developmental suitability — it is not just a suggestion.
Supervise young children
- Supervise young children during play, especially with electronic or moving toys.
- Keep small parts, batteries and magnets away from children under 3 years.
- Teach older siblings to keep their small-part toys away from babies and toddlers.
Inspect toys regularly
- Check for loose parts, sharp edges, cracked plastic or exposed wiring.
- Stop using a toy that is significantly damaged. If it arrived that way, start a return at our return portal within 3 days of delivery with an unboxing video — see our damaged/defective toy guide.
Battery safety basics
Button-cell and small batteries are a severe ingestion hazard. Keep all batteries — new and used — away from children under 3, and ensure battery compartment screws are always fastened. Never mix old and new batteries — see our battery care guide.
Hygiene products
For health and safety reasons, certain personal-use and hygiene-related products cannot be returned once opened or unsealed. This exclusion does not apply where the product is defective.
Some toys are openly tagged as "Replica Made" or "Non Branded" on their product pages — we are transparent about this, so you always know exactly what you are buying.
Safe unboxing
Open parcels carefully — and remember our unboxing video rule: record continuously from before opening the parcel so any damage claim can be resolved fairly and fast.
Q: How do I know if a toy is safe for my child's age?
Check the recommended age printed on the packaging. It accounts for choking hazards and developmental suitability — always follow it, especially for children under 3.
Q: What should I do if a toy breaks during play?
Stop using it immediately, especially if there are sharp edges, loose small parts or exposed wiring. If it arrived damaged, start a return at our return portal within 3 days of delivery with an unboxing video.
Q: Are small parts really that dangerous?
Yes — small parts, button batteries and magnets are serious choking and ingestion hazards for children under 3. Keep them out of reach and supervise play.
